My Background

I have over 35 years in UK higher education, holding senior roles at the London School of Economics, Roehampton University and the University of London.

My Experience

I have a strong track record in university leadership and governance, digital transformation, strategy development, driving efficiency, education technology, distance education, internationalisation, change management, property development, organisation development and systems implementation.

I am currently the CEO of ABRSM and I have held leadership roles at the London School of Economics, Roehampton University and the University of London. I have also held and advisory roles on a number of national higher education associations and committees.

I am a judge for the Times Higher Awards and a trustee of the student housing charity AA4S. I was previously Vice-Chair of HUMANE and sat on the Boards of Advance HE and Goodenough College.

I am a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts
